This is step one of a series of blog posts that will take you through creating your account, making your store and how to create your products! We've broken this down into a few bitesize posts to make it easier when you begin. Hopefully, this tutorial helps you get started on your exciting new journey.

Creating Your Account

The first thing you should do is create an account with Tebex if you haven't already. You can register your account here. Don't forget that newly registered accounts receive a free 14-day trial of Plus, our best plan on the Tebex platform! You will be able to see a lot of what the platform offers with your free trial, but if you decide to stick with the free Starter plan, you will also have a fantastic foundation for your store.

The 14-day trial is completely free.
No, you don't have to pay anything and we won't force you to subscribe at the end of your trial. We're not that kind of company.
At the end of your 14-day trial of Plus, your account will be automatically downgraded to the free Starter plan, unless you choose to begin a subscription.
Any features you used on the Plus plan will be unusable when you downgrade to the free Starter plan. For example, if you customise your store via the HTML editor, your saved custom appearance will be hidden until the time you upgrade again in the future. Don't worry, we won't delete your hard work.

Creating Your First Webstore

Now your account is set up you need to select the store type best suited for your needs. We have various store types available, Discord only, Minecraft, ARK, FiveM etc. Browse the selection to see what we support. Do you want to run a store for a game server? Or perhaps you run a Discord server community? No worries, I'm sure we'll have something to suit your needs.

Our store types have different login requirements for customers. This is how ingame digital products are delivered, so make sure you select the right one for your needs. For example, if you run a Minecraft Java server, don't select Atlas because your customers will be required to login via Steam and your commands won't be delivered to the right person! If you're unsure about the type of store you need, drop our friendly support team an email, and they will be happy to help: support@tebex.io.
You can change the name, subdomain, currency and description of your store at any time after creation, so this isn't set in stone.
You can have as many webstores as you like on one account!

Now, if you go to the next page, you'll be prompted to link your store to your server or Discord, depending on which store type you selected. You can safely skip this entire page and complete these tasks later if you want to.

Do I Need a Plugin?

This will really depend on the type of store you are running. If you are running a game server, for most types it's possible to use RCON or MySQL instead of a plugin if you prefer that, but we won't be providing you with guidance on how to use those methods. You should only use RCON or MySQL if you already know how to use and manage these systems as using them without understanding how they work can cause unnecessary headaches for you!

The plugins available for you to download are the ones suited for your store type, so if you're looking for the RUST plugin, but you're on an ARK store, there's your problem!

Plugin installation is fairly simple, and we have various instructions in our knowledge base, and even some YouTube tutorials available. If you do run into a problem with your plugin installation, give our support team an email (support@tebex.io), or if live chat is available send us a message, and one of our team will try to guide you!

Discord Store Type

If you're running the Discord store type, then you don't need a plugin as you aren't connected to a game server, but you do need to install the Discord bot, follow the instructions on the setup page, or watch Ted's video below:

You can also have the Discord bot connected to your game store, so you can reward your customers both ingame and on Discord, this is a great way to reward loyalty with Discord roles and an easy way to send messages when purchases are made!
